Promo Boards
Promotional boards are a versatile dental marketing tool and can fit well into almost any marketing budget or campaign. Depending on your situation and goals, promo boards can serve as another way to increase top-of-mind awareness of a specific service, and they also work well in conjunction with other marketing methods (such as letters and postcards) to announce a move, a grand opening or open house, new staff members, or an additional location.
How Large Should My Promo Board Be?
Our regular size promo board is 11" X 17", but we can design and print a variety of other sizes, as well. Size mostly depends on where and how you want to display the boards, and how much you have budgeted for them. For an 11" X 17" board, printing is very inexpensive ($15-30) and has a quick turn-around (on average, 24 hours). Naturally, larger designs cost more to print. Display options include tabletop easels, tall easels, and frames to hang on walls in your reception area and/or operatories. For a real promotional push, consider getting a full-size board made for your reception area and smaller boards made for each op!
A Flexible & Unique Marketing Approach
Promo boards can be used as permanent dental marketing staples or as temporary advertising pieces. Rotating a series of seasonal or themed promo boards works well to draw attention to services that are in higher demand during certain times of the year, such as back-to-school pediatric specials, whitening before the holiday season, and whitening again in the spring when many people get married... Folks want white teeth before they’re in all those photos!
With enough marketing know-how and advertising creativity, the potential for promo boards truly is limitless. If your office is located near a business that is frequented by your target patient demographic (such as a salon), you might be able to make a deal to display boards to promote your practice in their waiting area, even if just for a limited time like right after opening or during a seasonal special. To make it easy for people to learn more about you, place a stack of direct mailers, brochures, and/or business cards alongside your boards. An offer especially for the patrons of that business can be the cherry on top of an already good marketing move.
Promo boards can also increase current patients' awareness of all the services you offer. Situated above, next to, or simply near your front desk, they can function as a sort of "menu" for your practice. A variation on this concept that we're particularly fond of is three 11" X 17" boards lined up next to each other, the first promoting preventive services, the second restorative treatments, and the third cosmetic procedures. Your patients will never again wonder whether or not you provide the treatment they desire, and they might even be prompted to ask about a service they hadn't heard of before.
With a simple and inexpensive frame or easel, promo boards are an inviting, professional, and interesting addition to any dental marketing campaign, even one on a tight budget.
